Dr. Alfonso J. Martinez is an Assistant Professor of Psychometrics and Quantitative Psychology in the Department of Psychology at Fordham University and director of the PRISM Lab. He obtained his Ph.D. in Psychological & Quantitative Foundations from the University of Iowa in 2024, his MS in Statistics and MA in Psychological & Quantitative Foundations from the University of Iowa in 2023 and 2022, respectively, and his BA in Psychology from California State University, Fresno in 2019. His research focuses on the development, evaluation, and application of novel psychometric, statistical, and computational methods for the social, behavioral, and psychological sciences.
Graduate Students
Zixi is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Psychometrics and Quantitative Psychology program at Fordham University. She earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Fordham University in 2023. Her research interests include culturally responsive psychological assessment, evaluation of model robustness through simulation, and the use of interactive technologies to enhance psychological measurement.Â
